Care
Cashmere, a resilient and natural fibre, offers longevity compared to synthetic materials. However, to ensure your jumper remains in good condition, it requires special care. Please review the instructions below to maximise the lifespan of your garment and enjoy it for years to come.
Hand Washing
- Use lukewarm water around 20°C (70°F) with cashmere/ wool detergent.
- Avoid twisting or wringing the garment.
- Gently squeeze out excess water and pat dry using towels.
- Air dry only, avoid hanging the garment. Instead, lay it flat on a towel in its natural shape to prevent stretching.
Pilling and Ironing
- Natural fibres like cashmere to pill over time which is very normal. Pills are small balls of fiber that gather on your jumper, typically in areas where there is friction.
- Pilling can be removed using a cashmere comb or by picking them off by hand.
- Iron at a low temperature with a thin cotton cloth between the iron and cashmere to ease fibres back into place.
Storing
-
When storing your cashmere garment, always fold it instead of using a hanger, as hanging can distort its shape.
- For long-term storage, place the garment in a breathable garment bag, a box, or both.
-
To protect against moths, add a natural moth repellent inside the box.
By following these care instructions, you can ensure your cashmere sweater maintains its quality and becomes a cherished heirloom for generations to come.
